Halloween Books! Part 2

This is not a recent book as it was published back in 1999. Some feel that Silver Ravenwolk is "fluffy bunny" or stuff like that. I don't always agree that everything published is fact, or something I NEED to do. I do prefer actual facts, and I will take a page out of DBT that if 100 people can agree and/or you have an actual picture of it that is not photoshopped, then it probably is a fact. I have several of Silver Ravenwolf's books and I have found them helpful and interesting.  Much like a recipe you are familiar with, most books on Wicca are guides. Once you get the hang of it, you can make it your own, like my banana bread recipe. It is now all my own and doesn't look or taste like the original version.

I love this particular book as it all about Halloween/Samhain, so it has a lot of wonderful things such as history, spells, recipes, and more. It is a current coffee table book, as I like to switch my books out so I never have the same stuff out all the time.

This is one of my favorite cookbooks as it has the kind of recipes you don't normally see on your table as often as you do meatloaf or pot roast with vegetables. I have used several recipes from this book, some were great, others I need to adjust them for myself. This is not the only cookbook Patricia Telesco has put out, and I may ask for another one either at Christmas/Yule or my birthday.

This book is NOT a Halloween book, but I like to bring it out on Halloween as it is the start of shorter days and longer nights. Sometimes it is cool to have something that will pick you up more than lemon tea or incense when you are depressed or just having a bad day. It covers plant, flower, scent, stone, and herbs correspondences, days of the week, moon and sun phases, plus recipes for beverages and food. (Yes, I love being in the kitchen.) I have a particular fondness for Patricia if you can't guess that already. She's a really nice lady!

I don't know exactly where I purchased this, but it might be Spirit Halloween. No, it's not the actual book (although that would be cool!) it is a blank journal to write your own book.  NERD ALERT! There are several favorite genres that I love and collect, and Beetlejuice is one of them. I have stuff that I only pull out for Halloween, while a plush Beetlejuice and a sandworm park out on my bed year round. You can find this blank journal pretty much anywhere on the internet as I have seen it on places like Etsy, besides Spirit Halloween.
