Roberto D'Antona

Check this gentleman out....

I like to watch movies that I have never seen before, especially "B" movies. The Italian movie, "Caleb" (or in English, "Village of the Vampire") was such I movie that I watched. It was not a "B" movie, in my opinion. It was much better, as it wasn't your typical vampire movie. The story was original and not copied off someone else's idea, like Bram Stoker's Dracula. There is a part in the movie that touches on Dracula, however briefly. Ninety-nine percent of the movie has nothing to do with Dracula.

When I watch a movie that peaks my interest, I will research it, including the cast. I found out that Rob D'Antona was the one that wrote the story, acted, directed, and his production company LD Productions (he shares this company with AnnaMaria Lorusso) produced the movie.

After that, I watched more of Rob's movies and followed his account on Instagram. I reached out to him and told him how much I enjoyed his films. He wanted to know how I found him (not too many people in Minnesota watch Italian horror) as he was sort of surprised.

We got to talking a bit over text, and I had the best conversation with an intelligent, talented, and all over really nice guy. If you are interested in his work, Google him and you can catch most of what he has done on Tubi, Amazon, FreeVee, and YouTube. His films may be more on other streaming platforms other than the ones I have listed.

My personal favorites of Rob's besides "Village of the Vampire" are "Insane" and "Road to Hell." He has an amazing series called "The Reaping" which I would recommend binge-watching. He is not active on Facebook, but can mostly be found on Instagram and his 6 cats, plus he's on TikTok where most of his video's star all his cats. (He has a couple of dogs, too.)

He currently is no longer making any new films and is more active in watching and reviewing movies, taking pictures of wildlife, and living a normal life. Still, I recommend watching his work and following him.
