Favorite coffee places in Minnesota, Part One
One of my favorite coffee places in East St. Paul is Caydence Records and Coffee. I remember finding an online as for Caydence announcing their opening and I couldn't wait as I had just moved to the East Side and knew no one or nothing. I have taken my kids, granddaughters, and friends to this place as it has a relaxed vibe. They sell great cups of coffee, baked goods, t-shirts, and it goes without saying...records. The staff is a lot of fun to talk to and the service is excellent. There is a lot to look at inside of Caydence as local artwork is displayed along with the records and coffee, in addition, to live music at night. Check out their website for their menu, hours, location, and whatever they happen to be offering. www.caydencemn.com
Swede Hollow Cafe picture from Trip Advisor site
Swede Hollow Cafe is located in Dayton's Bluff in St. Paul and it is one of those places where just the entrance draws you in. They have a welcoming environment, great coffee, baked good, sandwiches, soups, and salads. I have had their sandwiches and coffee. and they both are really good! Rustica Bakery has two locations; one in Edina and the other one in Minneapolis. My oldest daughter and I were at the West Lake Street Location before hitting Barnes and Noble which is located in the same area. We went in and had a hard time making up our minds about what we wanted to enjoy with our coffee there. We chose to try a chocolate tarte and I was glad that we only got one. It was delicious, decadent, and very rich. We have enjoyed cookies and other baked goods from this spot as it is preferable to the coffee place located inside Barnes and Noble. Lol. They are currently offering two new drinks there; a blueberry thyme latte and a rosemary pear latte which I am itching to try the next time I am over there. Wuollet Bakery is a place that my kids, grandkids, and I lived by when we lived in Robbinsdale. We went there for coffee and whatever cupcake, a slice of one of their tortes, cookies, and whatever looked good to us paired with our drink. I think our personal favorite was the Princess Torte as it had a hint of pistachio in it along with the cake, fruit, and cream. Wuollet's has seven different locations, the newest being their Hastings bakery. To check out the menu, location closest to you, hours, and more. go to wuollet.com
I realize that these places have been around for quite some time so they may not be new to anyone. I just listed them as they have been my favorite places to go.
