New Venture

Charell came up with the idea of a new business idea and wanted to know if I wanted in on it. Hell yes!! I got really excited about her plan and my brain would NOT shut up coming up with ideas on what we can create.  I was surprised at Charell's commitment to this as she is already busy being a therapist and mental health crisis phone operator. Her husband Montell is just as busy with his job, and both of them are constantly running the granddaughters to their various things. You would think that during the summer things would be less hectic, but no. Ryanne and Natasha have been in summer sports, and Ryanne has a job.

We headed out to the farmer's market this past Thursday to get ingredients for some recipes that we wanted to create. Lots of running, but I did have a lot of fun. I got these cherry tomatoes and blueberry jam from the market. They are both delicious, but I have to confess that the cherry tomatoes I have growing, are better.

Every year I come up with more things to plant on my patio and give a chunk away to plant in Charell's garden. This year was cucumbers and spaghetti squash, plus peppers, onions, mint, basil, cat grass, catnip, and more. I already have ideas on what I want for next year, as the more I plant, the less we spend on stuff at grocery stores and farmer's markets. I'd like to do more than just herbs and vegetables, but maybe some fruit. I love the idea of raising chickens, but I can't raise them where I live, and I'm sure Charell and Montell don't want them as they have a dog that might kill them.
